Why Spengel? Spengel is an artificial word composed of the words Sparrow and Angel. Sparrow and Angel as symbols for a loving and dignified nursing philosophy The sparrow, a small, seemingly vulnerable songbird, symbolizes the patient in our concept. The angel, the heavenly messenger, symbolically represents our employees, the nursing professionals, who care for our patients with heart and mind. With this image, we want to bring a piece of humanity back to the generally clinical and medical approach in the nursing professions.
