Pequeno Cotolengo: a story of love and dedication to others! Pequeno Cotolengo has been operating in Curitiba since 1965 with the aim of welcoming people with multiple disabilities (physical and intellectual) and hospital residents of all ages and from any region of the state of Paraná, who have been abandoned by their families, suffered abuse, or lived in a situation of risk. There are over 230 assisted individuals who receive care, education, and health services, all done with great care to offer quality of life to each of them. The Organization has a complete team of professionals in various areas and provides its assisted individuals with all the necessary services for their development: literacy programs, pedagogical development, visual and sensory stimulation, craft classes, medical clinic, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, speech therapy, neurology, clinical nutrition, psychology, psychiatry, social work, dentistry, occupational therapy, and other specialties. All services provided by Pequeno Cotolengo are free for those assisted, and the institution is maintained with the support of companies and society as a whole. Pequeno Cotolengo is a reference throughout the state of Paraná and for other entities in Brazil, for the work done with the assisted individuals.
