Pennsylvania Highlands Community College

About Pennsylvania Highlands Community College

On September 5th, 1994, Pennsylvania Highlands (then known as Cambria County Area Community College) held its first-ever classes. Since that time, the College has now served over 56,000 community members across the region and it continues to grow. Once known as the college without walls, Pennsylvania Highlands established its first true home in 2007 (our Richland Campus). Today, the College has six distinct locations devoted to positioning its graduates to become exceptional members of the community and workforce. Pennsylvania Highlands Community College is one of 14 Community Colleges in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The College’s Main Campus is located in a thriving suburb of Johnstown in the picturesque Southern Allegheny mountain region of the state within easy driving distance of Pittsburgh, State College, Morgantown, WV, and Washington, D.C. The Johnstown-Cambria County area boasts a diverse economy, a symphony orchestra, multiple 4 year Colleges and Universities, a wide range of ethnic and cultural events, and abundant outdoor recreation opportunities. Recognized throughout the region as a vital resource, the College’s dedicated faculty and staff currently serve approximately 5,000 students per year at multiple campus locations and via on-line, school partnerships, and non-credit business and industry training. Our vibrant, academically-focused environment provides staff and faculty with the tools, flexibility, and support needed to thrive both personally and professionally. We invite you to join our team, and start making a difference.
