Patria Bank is a Romanian bank, founded in 1993 under the name Banca Romexterra, later renamed Nextebank. As of April 30, 2014, the main shareholder of the bank became the investment fund Emerging Europe Accession Fund (EEAF), a change that also brought the launch of the new brand under which the bank operates: Patria Bank. In the spring of 2016, we became majority shareholders in Banca Comercială Carpatica S.A., with a participation of over 60%, and in August 2016, we initiated the merger project between the two banks. Banca Comercială Carpatica was established in 1999 in Sibiu, and starting from April 26, 2005, the shares of Banca Comercială Carpatica were listed in the Premium category of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, being included in the BETPlus, BET-XT, BET-XT-TR, BET-BK indices. The merger process between Patria Bank and Banca Comercială Carpatica was finalized on May 1, 2017. Patria Bank offers all Romanians simple, easy-to-use products and services through its four specialized divisions: Individuals, Micro-enterprises, SMEs, and Agro Business.
