We are the leading association of the Free Welfare Association in Lower Saxony, a provider of social services, and an employer of more than 3,600 employees. A strong leading association: Around 880 member organizations from all areas of social work throughout Lower Saxony are gathered under our umbrella. As a strong umbrella organization, we represent them in the top bodies of the Free Welfare Association and in dealings with politicians. We are always involved in social legislation too – to ensure that laws in Germany serve people. Our member organizations are part of this important work at all levels, making fundamental association policy decisions and developing position papers. We operate independently, as the Paritätische is non-denominational and politically unaffiliated. Members benefit from extensive consulting and information services, a strong network, and diverse funding. We are on site: The Paritätische is present throughout Lower Saxony with 40 district associations and offers its broad portfolio there. This includes: Care services such as outpatient care and day care, personal assistance such as integration services and school support, meal and household services, self-help contact points, volunteer agencies, debt and insolvency counseling, federal voluntary service, voluntary social year, and much more.
