About Païdou

We created Païdou in 2017 with the conviction that the Île-de-France region lacked small, human-sized daycare networks. We observed that early childhood professionals and families alike had difficulty finding daycares that offered quality care in a family atmosphere with human values. Over the past 5 years, we have tested our ideas against the realities of daily life. From this, we have identified 4 pillars that we believe are essential for ensuring the well-being of the children in our care. 1) Independence Païdou is owned by its founders, and we are very attached to this independence. It allows us to control our growth and manage our profitability without pressure from external shareholders. The disasters we see in similar sectors (like nursing homes, for example) only strengthen our desire for independence. 2) Thriving Teams We know that the quality of a daycare depends essentially on the team that makes it up. The early childhood sector faces two challenges: absenteeism and turnover. While we don't have a magic formula, we implement concrete actions to attract talent and ensure the fulfillment of our employees. We offer staffing ratios higher than the legal minimum to reduce team fatigue. We try to anticipate the movements and problems of professionals as much as possible by listening to them through regular meetings with management and coordination. Each of our employees meets with the founders of Païdou several times a year. Unfortunately, this is not always enough, and we are sometimes faced with emergency situations. However, we have the pleasure of seeing happy and fulfilled professionals in most of our daycares. 3) Welcoming Daycares Where You Feel Good We firmly believe that a child's development is fostered by a small, human-sized structure with a family atmosphere where benevolent bonds are formed between children, staff, and parents. We build beautiful facilities with quality materials and ensure their regular maintenance. 4) A Relationship of Trust with Families To build a relationship of trust, we rely on total transparency and benevolent listening. We try to communicate as much as possible with families because every parent should know what their child is doing at the daycare. We strive to adapt to individual needs while retaining the benefits of collective living. Today, Païdou has 16 daycares, each welcoming between 12 and 30 children. To allow field professionals to focus on the children, they are supported by a team of 7 people working at headquarters: - The coordination team (Mélanie and Damien) who support the directors and teams daily to ensure the best quality of care within the daycares. - The commercialization and family relations team (Virginie and Alexandra) who ensure the daycares are filled and that families are satisfied. - Vinciane, who manages the essential administrative tasks for the smooth operation of the entire network. - And finally, the two founders (David and Marc)
