About Outcome's, Inc.

Outcomes, Inc. is a non-profit corporation founded in 1986 to serve the needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions. It was originally developed to provide in-home waivered services to individuals who were living in their family homes. Recognizing the success of this program and the critical need for residential development, Ramsey County selected Outcomes to create a first of its kind home to serve individuals with ASD. By 1989 Outcomes developed a residential facility for young adults with ASD in Maplewood. Previously, individuals severely disabled by autism and related conditions had been institutionalized. In 1992 Outcomes opened a second home for children located in Vadnais Heights. We believe that all people who have disabilities can be increasingly independent and actively involved in their communities. For over 20 years, Outcomes, Inc. has served the needs of many people with a variety of disabilities such as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Bipolar Disorder, Angelman Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Intermittent Explosive Disorder and significant developmental delays. Many of these individuals have presented significant behavioral challenges requiring extensive supports. It has been our solid commitment to provide individualized services which utilize positive behavior supports to teach functional communication and more adaptive behavior. We believe this approach is paramount to maintaining one’s dignity and quality of life.
