The group company Orient Securities Company Limited (shortened to "Orient Securities") (600958.SH, 03958.HK) was established in 1998 with the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. Headquartered in Shanghai, it provides financial services including securities, futures, asset management, wealth management, investment banking, investment consulting, and securities research. In 2010, Orient Securities established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Hong Kong, Orient Finance Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited (shortened to "Orient Finance"). Orient Finance currently has a registered capital of HK$2.2 billion and serves as the platform for coordinating the group company's international business. It manages its operations through a structure of "management platform + business platform + professional subsidiaries." In 2016, Orient Securities International Financial Group Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Orient International") was established underneath it. It holds Type 1, 2, 4, 6, and 9 licenses issued by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, as well as a money lender license regulated by the Companies Registry and the Police Force. It engages in securities brokerage, futures brokerage, asset management, investment banking, and margin financing businesses.
