On December 7, 1979, a group of friends, students from the National University of Engineering, decided to found a pre-university academy for candidates applying to UNI. Thus, on the first Monday of January 1980, with fewer than a hundred students, the TRILCE Academy opened its doors at a location on Jr. Callao 209, Cercado de Lima. Seven years later, TRILCE had more than 3,000 students and was also dedicated to preparing candidates for the National University of San Marcos and the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. In 1996, TRILCE founded the first pre-university school in Peru at one of its locations in Miraflores. Currently, the TRILCE Educational Organization has 18 schools in Lima; and 6 in the provinces; 6 academies; 3,000 employees, more than 25,000 students, and 33 years of experience during which it has maintained leadership in pre-university preparation and at the school level has managed to implement a comprehensive educational system by merging academic excellence; the promotion of values, art, and culture; and physical development.
