We are an expert agency under the Ministry of Justice, responsible for the digital development and maintenance of justice administration IT systems, as well as record-keeping, data management, and the enforcement of property-related penalties. Our operations are guided by responsibility, fairness, and service orientation, which we adhere to in order to guarantee legal protection for citizens. As a data controller, we produce and provide reliable register data to authorities, organizations, and citizens. Our most used registers are the criminal records register, the penalty register, the bankruptcy and corporate restructuring register, and the debt arrangement register. As an authority involved in enforcement, we are responsible for the enforcement of property-related penalties, including fines and various compensations. As IT system development experts, we procure, develop, and maintain modern and user-friendly digital services cost-effectively for the entire justice administration, such as the Ministry of Justice, the Criminal Sanctions Agency, enforcement offices, the prosecution service, the Judicial Administration Agency, and guardianship and legal aid offices. We produce the necessary services ourselves or procure them from other service providers. We cooperate with other authorities both nationally and internationally. Our important partners in IT system development include the State Center for Information and Communication Technology (Valtori), the state's joint procurement unit Hansel, and various system suppliers.
