OFTALMED - Hospital da visão

About OFTALMED - Hospital da visão

There are many words that can help define Oftalmed – Hospital da Visão's more than 30 years. If eyes are truly the window to the soul, we are proud to say that Oftalmed's soul is the love for what we do. We were born in April 1993 and, over the last three decades, we have dedicated all our energy to providing ever-better services to the population of the Federal District. We know that each patient is unique and needs specific care that meets their needs. Therefore, we spare no effort to grow and combine highly qualified teams with the most modern infrastructure and technology. With five units — located in Asa Sul, Águas Claras, Águas Lindas, Ceilândia, and Taguatinga — we are close to you and your family with a team of more than 30 specialists who, in addition to general ophthalmology, work in areas such as Cataract, Congenital Cataract, Retina and Vitreous, Refractive and Cornea, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus, and Contact Lenses. Our team is led by the three managing partners: Dr. Sérgio Elias Saraiva, a cornea specialist; Dr. Sebastião José Ferreira Neto, a retina specialist; and Dr. Celso Boianovsky, a cataract specialist. We invest in the constant training of our doctors and employees, and we frequently participate in discussions related to the medical field. We are also involved in the community and work on projects aimed at preventive medicine that benefit society as a whole. An example of this is that our clinics have the seal of the Federal District Eye Bank, a partnership that encourages cornea donation and transplantation.
