A major player in the forest-wood sector, the Office National des Forêts (ONF) brings together more than 8,200 professionals. In mainland France and overseas, the ONF manages nearly 11 million hectares of public forests belonging to the State and local authorities. The French forest is an ecosystem with multiple resources. Protecting and sustainably managing forests, acting for the climate and ecological transition, contributing to the attractiveness and sustainable development of territories, means preserving our lives and those of future generations. This is the ambition of the ONF and its partners - forest communes, local authorities, the State, local associations. Every day, foresters maintain, develop, and renew these spaces with several inseparable objectives at the heart of their actions: producing wood, preserving the environment, welcoming the public, and preventing natural risks. Drawing on its expertise, the ONF also offers services to companies and individuals wishing to sustainably maintain and enhance their natural spaces.
