Oceanic Aquarium

About Oceanic Aquarium

The Oceanic Aquarium is located in the municipality of Balneário Camboriú in Santa Catarina. It was opened to the public on December 30, 2019, and officially inaugurated on March 12, 2020. With the environment and sustainability in mind, the entire structure of the aquarium was built with metal materials and thermal panels. The entire aquarium area, including the Extra Sector (a separate property that supports our activities), totals 3,500 square meters of built area, featuring 30 habitats, which amount to around one million liters of water! Accessibility The Oceanic Aquarium strives for accessibility for all types of audiences – both structurally (like elevators that allow access to all floors), communicatively (for example, with information signs in different languages), and attitudinally (with periodic training on accessibility for the teams, to enable a routine of inclusive visitor reception and welcome practices). We also provide two wheelchairs, which can be borrowed free of charge by leaving an identification document at the Box Office. For guide dogs, we ask the owner to present proof of training and vaccination for the animal, as well as a disability card or equivalent document.
