About NZIST - Whitireia and WelTec

We offer a range of programmes of study at certificate, diploma, degree, postgraduate and Master’s levels. Our programmes have been developed in conjunction with industry to offer excellent vocational qualifications that are future-focused and provide ākonga (students) with practical skills so they can pursue their career goals. Thousands of local and international ākonga engage in study at one of our Wellington based campuses. We have campuses in Porirua, Pito-one (Petone) and Wellington City. Whitireia Community Polytechnic gets it’s name from Whitireia maunga (mountain) of Ngāti Toa Rangatira and WelTec is one of Aotearoa New Zealand's oldest tertiary education institutions.
