About Novo Mundo Móveis e Utilidades

With over 66 years of experience in the home furnishings and appliances market and headquartered in Goiânia (GO), novomundo.com underwent a true transformation during the pandemic in 2021, becoming 100% integrated without friction such as queues or slow customer service processes, in addition to unifying prices between the website and physical stores. A pioneer in the Center-West region for credit sales via payment books, the retailer has 145 stores distributed across the states of Goiás, Tocantins, Bahia, Mato Grosso, Amazonas, Maranhão, Roraima, Pará, and the Federal District, 6 Distribution Centers across the Center-North of the country, and 2,500 employees, including 1,100 first-job consultants. As one of the first companies in the Center-North to implement e-commerce, it currently boasts a robust Marketplace with nearly 1,000 sellers, strategically positioned to complement its product mix. It also uniquely offers a complete solution concept to its consumers, providing services like air conditioner installation sales through its channels, in addition to product sales. Another milestone is its operation in mass-market insurance, as well as the offering of financial services to always ensure a surprising shopping experience for its customers. In 2021, novomundo.com had a revenue of R$1.4 billion, with 40% coming from the digital channel, and its EBITDA jumped from 8% to almost 12%. R$50 million were invested in customer journey process improvements alone last year. For this year, the opening of 30 new stores is planned. In 2023, another 50 units are expected to open, reinforcing its positioning in the national Center-North and Northeast. Meanwhile, in 2022, novomundo.com rebranded its image, emphasizing technology attributes with surprising solutions, human relationships, and expertise that builds trust.
