About Niles Bakery

Nile's Bakery was founded in 1955 by Leslie Nile and his wife Chrissie. They started out of a kitchen at Alexandra Road in St.Austell. When Leslie's son John joined the business, they progressed to a shop by the Capitol Bingo, and are still operating over 60 years later. Leslie then purchased a building in Morven Trading Estate which they converted into a bakery. From there, they expanded the business and opened more shops, attracting more customers. The business had grown to include 5 shops and 3 cafes across Newquay, Fowey, and St.Austell.
