The NEW Nordeifelwerkstätten gemeinnützige GmbH is a company in the Euskirchen district for people with disabilities who cannot or cannot yet be integrated into the general labor market due to the nature and severity of their disability. The first workshop for disabled people (WfbM) was opened in Dürscheven in 1975. Meanwhile, there are four recognized workshops, two of them in Ülpenich and Zingsheim for people with intellectual and multiple disabilities, and two others in Kuchenheim and Kall for people with mental disabilities. These offer 1300 employees with and without disabilities a workplace and are among the largest employers in the Euskirchen district.
