About Morris Animal Foundation

Morris Animal Foundation is a global leader in advancing veterinary medicine through science. Since 1948, we’ve invested more than $170 million in over 3,200 studies to improve the health and quality of life for dogs, cats, horses, and wildlife worldwide. Our funded research has led to breakthroughs in prevention, diagnostics, treatment, and cures — many now considered gold standards in veterinary care. From developing vaccines and surgical techniques to identifying genetic risk factors and environmental threats, our work powers progress across all areas of animal health. Our rigorous, competitive grants process ensures donor dollars fund the most promising, high-impact studies. Researchers we support are tackling some of the toughest challenges in animal health — cancer, infectious disease, pain management, aging, and more. At Morris Animal Foundation, we believe animals deserve longer, healthier lives. That’s why we fund the science that makes it possible.
