Mond'Arverne Communauté

About Mond'Arverne Communauté

Mond’Arverne Communauté, created on January 1, 2017, brings together 27 municipalities and over 40,000 inhabitants. It is the result of the merger of three inter-municipal communities: Les Cheires, Gergovie Val d’Allier, and Allier Comté. A true gateway to Clermont-Ferrand and the south of France, the territory of Mond’Arverne Communauté boasts remarkable assets: - A privileged living environment, between volcanoes, valleys, the Allier plateau, lakes, and forests. - Economic potential based on structuring road and rail infrastructure, regionally and even nationally renowned tourist sites (the Gergovie plateau, the Allier river, Lake Aydat, the Comté forest…) and accessible land. - Cultural and associative dynamism - A network of local services and facilities: daycare centers, childminder support centers, schools, a nautical stadium… This territory has nearly 20,000 active residents. It is structured around 3 living areas: Tallende, Saint-Amant-Tallende, and Saint-Saturnin; Les Martres-de-Veyre and Vic-le-Comte. It has 27 primary schools and 3 middle schools. A real dynamic is underway to strengthen what makes this territory a major asset: a gentle way of life combined with real economic and tourist potential.
