About Minera Las Bambas

Las Bambas is a mining deposit located between the provinces of Cotabambas and Grau in the Apurímac Region, at over 4,000 meters above sea level. On July 1, 2016, it began its commercial operation phase, when it reached full capacity by processing 140,000 tons per day. We are one of the most important mining operations in Peru and are expected to be one of the most important copper assets globally, in terms of production. Las Bambas has been owned by a consortium comprising MMG Limited, Guoxin International Investment Co. Ltd. and CITIC Metal Co. Ltd. since 2014. Our operator, MMG, is a global natural resources company that explores, develops, and exploits base metal deposits globally. We do mining for progress, generate wealth and development for our stakeholders, foster the progress of the communities where we operate, respect the environment, and contribute to the local and national economy.
