The Mickey’ story began in 1929 in the basement of a small home in Chicago. Chris, “Mickey” Georgeadis, our founder, realized the need for a company to deliver clean towels to beauty and barber shops, thus, the beginning of Mickey’s Linen & Towel Supply, Inc. The Company’s reputation for quality and service grew to the point that in 1936 “Mickey” moved the business from his basement into a new processing facility. During this period, his nephew, Peter G Brown, joined the Company. Peter immediately expanded the Company’s product line to accommodate many new customers, as well as new markets. Under Peter’s leadership, the Company has expanded its processing facilities and its number of customers. Thus, the moto became “Through Service We Grow”. As the company continued to grow and transition from a small family business to a much larger professionally operated organization, the motto became “Professional Service Personal Touch”. The commitment to excellence established by Peter G Brown remains the cornerstone of the company today. The commitment continues under the direction of his children: Greg, Cynthia, Nick, Chris and his grandson Peter G Brown who is the fourth generation entering the family business. Today the company has 350 Team Members proudly servicing 5,500 customers a week. The laundry is cleaned in five processing facilities with distribution center in Peoria, IL, Springfield, IL, Champaign, IL, South Bend, IN and Fort Wayne, IN. In addition to our food & beverage linen rental, we also have a specialty medical division, MedClean, which is focused on serving healthcare and medical practices. MedClean services broad range of healthcare providers such as physical therapy centers, health & day spas, sleep labs, medical & dental offices, and out-patient surgical centers.
