About MFR

The MFRs provide training each year to nearly 100,000 young people and adults in 18 different professional sectors, throughout France. Their humanistic values and over 80 years of experience in work-study programs make them recognized players in training. "Cultivating success" at MFR means not only building one's future by training for a profession, but also flourishing in one's territory, opening up to others and the world. The MFR movement brings together 430 independent training centers and 65 federative associations, including a national union, all operating under an associative status. As such, each association directly recruits its employees. The MFRs represent a significant component of agricultural education in France, with 358 MFRs offering work-study schooling, under contract with the Ministry of Agriculture.
