Metro Therapy, Inc. is an agency that provides educational, development services to children across Long Island and throughout NYC. Our purpose is to provide intervention to those in need to improve the skills necessary for independence and greater success in the learning environment. Working with us you will find many avenues of support: Work closely with your department coordinator Connecting with a discipline QA supervisor who can help troubleshoot issues or address questions Participate in regular training seminars Attend roundtables for collegial discussions on matters relevant to your field Working with us, you will find lots of flexibility: You can accept as little or as much work as you like. If you’re looking just to fill just a few time slots in your schedule, we’ll have work for you. Cases become available all through the year so if prefer a more substantial caseload, we may have just what you’re looking for. Most placements are long-term, but there are often short-term coverage assignments for maternity leaves or school-based skill building groups. Working with us, you can work with children of all ages: Early Intervention (0-3): work with infants and toddlers with (or at risk) developmental delays Preschool (3-5): work with young children to improve their physical, social, and intellectual well being to prepare them for the academic demands awaiting them in elementary school. School Age (5-21): work with children in all grades to strengthen their physical, academic, and social-behavioral skills to promote productive engagement with their educational curriculum. Join us!
