About Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft.

Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. opened its factory in Kecskemét in March 2012. The successes of recent years have validated the decision made at the time: the Kecskemét Mercedes-Benz factory has become a defining enterprise and employer in Hungary. Our first product manufactured in Hungary in our compact car factory was the B-Class, followed in 2013 by the four-door CLA coupé, and in January 2015 by the CLA Shooting Brake estate. Production of the A-Class began in spring 2018, and in the same year, the B-Class was phased out of our product range. We are particularly proud that the CLA and CLA Shooting Brake models are manufactured exclusively in Kecskemét for the entire world. Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. currently provides employment for more than 4,000 employees. Our factory has reached numerous important milestones in recent years, one of the most significant being the 1,000,000th "Made in Kecskemét" car, a white A-Class, rolling off the production line in autumn 2018. Mercedes-Benz pioneered dual vocational training in our country. In our training program, which has been successfully operating since 2011, we train future specialists at the Mercedes-Benz Academy as part of vocational secondary and higher education studies. The Kecskemét Mercedes-Benz factory pays special attention to the development of Kecskemét and the Southern Great Plain region. Through our sponsorship and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, we place great emphasis on supporting and assisting future generations and socially disadvantaged groups in the fields of education, sports, culture, and social causes.
