Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains compete at the pinnacle of motorsport, in the FIA Formula One World Championship. Based in Brixworth Northamptonshire at a purpose built Mercedes-Benz Technology centre we are a highly talented, professional and ambitious team of people, responsible for the design, manufacture, testing and racing of Formula 1 power units for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS, McLaren, Williams and Aston Martin. Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains also undertake advanced, high technology projects in order to transfer F1 technologies into mainstream automotive and high performance road cars. The most significant programme at present is the design, manufacture and testing of a hypercar power unit for the Mercedes-AMG Project One vehicle. These traits have seen the Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 Turbo Hybrid Power Units to achieve consecutive F1 World Drivers Championships from 2014 to 2020, securing a record breaking eight consecutive Constructors’ Championships.
