About Mentrum

Mentrum is there for Amsterdammers with long-term serious complaints in the field of psychiatry and/or addiction. We help them to recover as much as possible and find a valuable place in society. We do this together with family or friends. And with GPs, the municipality, city districts, and other care institutions. We work from around 20 locations in Amsterdam and are therefore always nearby. We respect individual wishes and values. No two people are the same. We provide customized care. Our treatment is aimed at reducing complaints and symptoms arising from psychiatric problems or addiction. The goal of treatment is for people to be able to lead the life they find valuable. That is why we also pay attention to problems in other areas of life. Think of work or daytime activities, income, social contacts, and housing. An independent and valuable life: that is what we do it for every day. Hospitality Hospitality is central to our treatment. We ensure that people feel welcome, are approached respectfully and equally, and can take and maintain as much responsibility and control over their own lives as possible. Expertise We are experts in treating serious psychiatric and addiction problems. We treat according to scientifically proven methods. But if it is necessary to go off the beaten path, we do that. We use the best examples from practice.
