About MEDICAL EYEGLASS CENTER

At Medical Eyeglass Center (MEC), we believe the optical dispensary is more than a convenience—it’s a strategic growth engine. Since 1978, we’ve partnered with ophthalmology and optometry practices to unlock the untapped potential of their optical departments, delivering operational excellence, financial performance, and an elevated patient experience, all without adding complexity for physicians or administrators. Our fully managed model takes over the entire operation: staffing, training, inventory, billing, insurance, and reporting—so doctors can focus on patient care. Whether you’re part of a multi-location network, a private equity-backed platform, or an independent group ready to scale, MEC brings the people, the process, and the performance to ensure your optical shop isn’t just running—it’s thriving.
