About Medhavi Skills University

Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim (MSU) was established with the passage of The Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act 2021 in the Sikkim State Legislative Assembly on June 29, 2021. MSU aims to converge the skilling ecosystem with higher education. It is a pioneering university model where employers, corporates, and industries will be stakeholders and influencers in course curriculum design, program delivery, practical skills training, and for providing on-the-job apprenticeships and internships. MSU’s vision is to emerge as a pioneer institution of skills-based education recognized by employers, nationally and internationally. It will provide opportunities for flexible learning, competency-based modular courses, and credit accumulation/transfer across educational streams for continuous learning. MSU is sponsored by the Medhavi Foundation, founded in 2012 by a group of IIT Alumni. Medhavi Foundation is a skill development and education-focused organization and a National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) partner impacting over 100,000 youths annually.
