About Marion County Horizon Center
Marion County Horizon Center (MCHC) was started in 1976 and operated an 82-bed ICF-dd facility in Salem, Illinois for ten years. Subsequently, it began to develop and operate some of the initial 16-bed homes throughout Southern Illinois. In 2013, we began transitioning into CILA services focusing on small communities. Today, MCHC is striving to develop homes where all individuals that we serve have access to community living and individual bedrooms.
