Makro Portugal

About Makro Portugal

We are the Portuguese subsidiary of the German Metro group, a leading company in wholesale distribution, selling mostly food and non-food products. We provide a global and integrated service that meets the supply needs of catering and hotel professionals, food and non-food retailers, institutions, associations and foundations (public and private), companies and entrepreneurs in industry and services, as well as liberal and self-employed professionals. We have been present in Portugal since 1989 and currently have 10 stores in the main economic and urban centers of the country with around 941 employees. Our new strategy translates into the company's specialization in the HoReCa channel, having reviewed the entire purchasing experience process in our 10 stores nationwide, with regard to key factors such as flexibility, quality, price, and speed, in order to offer a personalized service that is more tailored to our customers' needs.
