About Madagascar National Parks

Madagascar National Parks (MNP) is a registered private association recognised in the public interest that has been given the mandate by the Malagasy Government, by Decree, to manage 43 Parks and Reserves (IUCN Categories I, II, IV). Our Mission : Establish, Conserve and Sustainably Manage a national network of national parks and reserves in Madagascar. Our Vision : Protected Areas should provide economic incentives for conservation among local populations, attract investment (donors, private sector, technical assistance-NGOs) and ensure financial sustainability by strengthening the entrepreneurial culture at all levels of management. The association has over 30 years of experience in managing Protected Areas. With over 900 personnel and 43 operational sites, MNP is acknowledged as the Protected Areas management NGO in Madagascar.
