LORO PARQUE

About LORO PARQUE

In 1972, Wolfgang Kiessling founded Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz, a space that began as an exotic bird reserve and grew to become the largest reserve of parrot species and subspecies in the world. It is currently positioned as the best zoo in the world. Almost five decades later, Loro Parque Foundation was born, an organization with over 22.8 million dollars invested in conservation, education, and research projects worldwide. The Group began to expand into the tourism world with the acquisition of Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden in 1995. One of the most recognized luxury hotels in the Canary Islands, part of the Leading Hotels group, with the best Spa in Europe. It was in 2008 that the company created, under the quality standards of Loro Parque and Hotel Botánico, Siam Park, the best water park in the world for the seventh consecutive year, according to TripAdvisor. An experience of emotions that leaves no visitor indifferent. In 2015, the Group launched Brunelli's Steakhouse, the best steakhouse this side of the Atlantic, with the best ocean views. Committed to positioning itself as number 1 in each of its projects, Brunelli's Steakhouse features the only Southbend oven in the Canary Islands, which cooks at 800º achieving a crispy texture on the outside while maintaining its juiciness on the inside. The Group's latest creation was in 2017, the Poema del Mar aquarium in Gran Canaria, a tribute to water through 35 different ecosystems that showcase the beauty of the great blue throughout its journey, culminating in the Deep Sea, the world's largest curved window, which immerses visitors in the deepest parts of the ocean.
