Gaston is a shoe store chain with over 40 years in the market and more than 30 stores in Rio Grande do Sul. It aims to offer women's, men's, children's shoes, and sneakers daily with accessible conditions in a welcoming environment. The stores are located in the main shopping malls and commercial areas of Porto Alegre, the Metropolitan Region, and the interior of the state, offering a wide variety of quality footwear for the whole family. In 1994, Gaston was incorporated into the brand portfolio of Paquetá The Shoe Company, a company founded on June 20, 1945, in Sapiranga, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Initially, it was a small shoe industry. Today, the company consists of various businesses: shoe manufacturing, shoe retail, private brands, real estate ventures, and credit card administration. It has about 18,000 employees, over 350 stores, and produces more than 12 million pairs of shoes per year. The brands Paquetá, Paquetá Esportes, Esposende, Dumond, Capodarte, Lilly’s Closet, Atelier Mix, and Ortopé make up the company's business mix.
