About Loetje

Over 45 years ago, Loetje was a neighborhood and billiard café in Amsterdam Zuid, where one could also enjoy a uitsmijter, a meatball, or a portion of cheese. When it turned out there was an increasing need for a 'real' dinner, the tenderloin steak was introduced. The butcher background of Loetje came in handy. The steak was a great success. The billiard tables made way for regular tables and the 'new' eatery was full every day with lovers of that delicious piece of meat: 'the steak of Loetje'. Meanwhile, more and more people around the world are getting acquainted with the tastiest steak. In addition to Café Loetje, there are various other Loetje restaurants located in the Netherlands. Loetje appears to have a large number of (inter)national fans, and we are extremely proud and happy about that! By the way, Loetje is not just a restaurant. There are also Loetje hotels and Loetje (event) halls, where meetings, gatherings, parties, and celebrations are organized. Both business and private.
