Local Host

About Local Host

Local Host is a Redding, California-based community discovery platform built to help people feel more connected to where they live. We believe some of the best experiences in Redding are already happening all around us. Local events, small businesses, classes, gatherings, activities, food, entertainment, and community experiences are being created every day. Our goal is to make those experiences easier to discover and easier to participate in. Local Host brings Redding events, local experiences, businesses, and community hosts together in one place so residents and visitors can discover more of what the city has to offer. At the heart of Local Host is connection. Connection between neighbors. Connection between local businesses and the people who support them. Connection between hosts with something meaningful to share and people looking for something new to do. We are building Local Host from Redding, for Redding, with a focus on creating a platform that feels genuinely local, useful, welcoming, and easy to navigate. Our mission is simple: help people discover more locally, support the people creating experiences in our community, and make it easier to feel connected to Redding.
