The Licence Physique-Chimie is a bi-disciplinary program built on a demanding curriculum in Physics and Chemistry. It is also, and above all, an inter-disciplinary program due to the integration of certain course units at the interface between Physics and Chemistry. This specific, bi- and inter-disciplinary approach develops rigor, reflection, and initiative, which are sought after in multiple further studies such as Master's degrees in Materials Science, teaching Master's degrees (Agrégation, CAPES, CAPET, PE..), and engineering schools (Centrale Marseille in particular). The program combines traditional teaching methods with alternative methods such as flipped classrooms, problem-based learning, and project-based learning. It integrates theoretical and experimental approaches through numerous experimental practices. A scientific project oriented towards Research and/or Teaching allows for the measured construction of further study plans. Adapted pathways are offered from the first year: an enhanced pathway allows the most motivated to train in research from the beginning of university, mentored by teacher-researchers within laboratories and experimental services; a distance learning pathway allows students in specific situations (working, distance, personal constraints, incarcerated, specific disabilities...) to follow the program at an adapted pace; a Plurisciences pathway is offered in L3 to students wishing to pursue studies towards primary school teaching, scientific mediation and dissemination, or to take public service examinations. Personalized support with regular meetings with a dynamic and committed teaching team and the implementation of support for those who need it.
