In 1989, Laura's Food Products Corporation started as a neighborhood bakery in Quezon City, baking pandesal, tasty soft bread, and other bakery products. Initially employing three bakers, three sales ladies, and one cashier, the bakery expanded its offerings to include biscuits such as Pasencia, Egg Cracklet, Buttered Toast, Ogoy-Ogoy, and Luisita. As demand grew, grocery owners and retailers began stocking Laura's biscuit products. In 1993, Laura's biscuits and cookies were introduced to supermarkets, groceries, convenience stores, and warehouse clubs, facing stiff competition. The founders, spouses Luis and Laura Martinez, persevered with their faith. Luis Martinez comes from a family with a tradition in biscuit and cookies manufacturing, being the youngest son of Felicisimo Martinez, the founder of the biscuit brand "La Pacita." Luis learned biscuit manufacturing from a young age. Laura, a registered nurse, has a passion for cooking and baking. Today, Laura's biscuits are available in major Philippine supermarkets and convenience stores. Laura's Food Products Corporation also serves as the exclusive distributor for local and international products in the Philippine market. The company is currently negotiating to acquire a plant twice its current size in Angono, Rizal, to meet growing demand. Laura's products are distributed throughout the Philippines and exported to the USA, Canada, and the Middle East due to inquiries from overseas Filipinos. Luis and Laura Martinez remain committed to providing a better life for their workers and their families through employment and enhanced benefits, guided by their faith.
