Owned, loved and supported by the citizens of Knox County since 1865, Knox County Nursing Home sits on a quiet wooded acreage between Galesburg and Knoxville. With an attentive and dedicated staff, our home has been a leader in innovative care for generations. We are proud to offer professional therapy services including physical, occupational, and speech disciplines for Medicare short and long term stays, a highly skilled Memory Care Unit, plus a fully staffed Restorative nursing program. In addition to these services, our person-centered Activity programs are ongoing within the facility as well as out in the community, and we especially pride ourselves on our many family centered events throughout the year. Our Prairie Trails and gardens provide opportunities for residents, families and staff to enjoy Knox County Nursing Home’s beautiful grounds and outdoor spots. Visit our accessible outdoor barn, which houses a collection of antique farming tools or stop and visit with our beloved goats who come to stay each spring and summer with us. Resident activities take place in the enclosed gazebo on summer days and we also have made this space available for families to reserve for larger gatherings and visits, at no charge. Knox County Nursing Home’s mission and goal is not only to provide superior nursing care, but also to help your loved one’s transition from home go as smoothly as possible. Our Social Services team is here to help families and residents meet the many questions, emotions, and oftentimes challenges of long term care placement, from the very beginning of the healing process. Tours and consultations with our Admission coordinators and Business Office are proffered to our community. Knox County Nursing Home accepts all payor services…Medicare, Medicaid, Private Pay, Hospice, MMAI/Molina, Health Choice Illinois and Managed Care. In addition to this, our Business Office and Social Services Departments are always available to assist with all of your financial questions or needs. We look forward to your visit to our home!
