The hospital comprises over 30 specialist clinics as well as various departments and interdisciplinary (cross-disciplinary) facilities. The Klinikum Bielefeld is part of the Medical Faculty of the University of Bielefeld. Most of the specialist clinics are located at the Bielefeld Mitte site. Here you will find, for example, the Center for Gynecology, the Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, the Clinic for Plastic Surgery, and the Clinic for Cardiology. The range of medical specialist departments is supplemented by, among others, the Interdisciplinary Breast Center, the Department for Geriatric Traumatology, and the Outpatient Surgery Center. The Bielefeld Rosenhöhe site houses, among others, the Clinic for General Surgery and Coloproctology, the Clinic for Geriatrics, the Eye Clinic, and the Dermatology Clinic. The Klinikum Halle (Westf.) includes, in addition to the Clinic for Pneumology, Sleep and Respiratory Medicine and the Clinic for Trauma Surgery, for example, the Clinic for Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. Almost all clinics have an outpatient department where patients receive outpatient treatment or undergo pre-operative examinations.
