About Klinik Wartenberg

Our specialized clinic with a long family tradition dates back to the "Gsundbründl" from 1373. It was owned by the Selmair family of doctors for over 100 years, who transferred it to a family foundation in 2003. Today, the clinic specializes in acute geriatrics, palliative medicine, and geriatric rehabilitation, treating approximately 4000 patients per year. With about 360 employees, it is the largest employer in Wartenberg. The value of "family" is paramount to us, which is why we like to refer to it as the "clinic family". In Bavaria, Klinik Wartenberg represents the largest facility for inpatient geriatric rehabilitation and enjoys an excellent reputation in the fields of acute geriatrics and palliative medicine. Furthermore, follow-up rehabilitation treatments (AHB) and statutory accident insurance treatments for chronic liver diseases are carried out. Since the opening of the new building in 2021, the clinic has had 202 beds across ten geriatric, rehabilitative, and palliative wards. The clinic building is situated in the middle of a 30-hectare site with wooded hills.
