For more than twenty-five years, we have been successfully engaged as a non-profit organization and recognized provider of independent youth welfare services according to § 75 SGB VIII in Berlin and Brandenburg. Our practical work primarily serves the direct promotion and support of children, adolescents and their families, as well as young adults. Equally, we see it as an important task to contribute with all our efforts to reducing the number of those seeking help who can no longer meet the societal or legal requirements of their parental responsibilities without assistance, or who, as young adults, require additional support for their current life situation. In this respect, youth welfare is also always a call for political intervention in favor of this group. Our help is always oriented towards the principle of help for self-help. The guiding goal of our work is the responsible citizen who can exercise their fundamental rights and obligations in self-responsibility, can manage without special state support, and takes responsibility with tolerance and solidarity towards others.
