About Kisbu Group

Kisbu's journey began about 45 years ago. When Nedim Kisbu, who laid the company's foundations in 1978 at the Mercan Sales Branch, gave the company his surname, which means "to achieve through hard work, to earn by working, sweat of the brow" in Ottoman Turkish, he also determined Kisbu's philosophy and future. Initially operating mostly in polypropylene yarn, polyester yarn, rope, and canvas, the company later added artificial leather to its product range. In its 10th year, Kisbu made a significant breakthrough by opening a new branch in Istanbul Bayrampaşa to store its products, taking the first step in its growth process. As this branch bore fruit, Kisbu, which developed and grew steadily, decided to open a second sales branch to better serve its customer portfolio. With its second branch opened in 1993, the company began to provide faster, higher quality, and more reliable service to its customers while also adding new customers to its portfolio. As its branch network continued to grow and develop, Kisbu achieved a major innovation in 1997 by introducing Nonwoven Spunbond fabric to the Turkish market, becoming a pioneer in the sector. It continued to strengthen this position with numerous innovations over the years. With its steadily rising success graph, Kisbu aimed for larger markets and launched a production facility of 4,000 m² in Beylikdüzü in 2002. Today, Kisbu continues to increase both its product diversity and production capacity every year with its production facilities in a total of 40,000 m² of closed area and its modern management approach. Expanding its sales network both domestically and abroad, Kisbu continues its growth with the Basal brand it launched in 2017.
