KDK Automotive Czech s.r.o. in Tachov belongs to an international concern with two other production plants in Germany (Wächtersbach, Lennestadt) and one in Spain (Borja). The Tachov plant produces plastic parts, primarily center consoles and armrests, for the interiors of passenger cars from leading global manufacturers such as ŠKODA, VW, AUDI, BMW, OPEL, and others. Plastic injection molding technology is used in production. Molten granulate is injected into a mold, which forms it into the desired shape under high pressure and at high temperature. More complex parts, such as center consoles or armrests, are then assembled in the assembly hall. Some parts then undergo surface treatment with paint. In 2015, KDK Automotive won the prestigious competition ŠTIKA ČESKÉHO BYZNYSU (Fish of Czech Business) for the West Bohemian region. This prestigious economic award for the most dynamically developing company in the region would not have been possible without a stable background, long-term investments, quality training, and the diligent work of all employees.
