With more than 300 talented colleagues across two UK sites, we produce a wide range of delicious foods under our well-loved brands — Primula and Castle MacLellan — as well as private-label products for major UK supermarkets. Our Brands & Locations Primula Primula Cheese has been a family favourite since it first launched in the UK in 1929. In 1961, the brand moved into its purpose-built home in Team Valley, Gateshead, where it still thrives today. The site has grown and modernised over the years, now operating as a state-of-the-art facility accredited to the BRC’s highest food safety and quality standards. From spreadable cheese to snacks and dips, Primula continues to innovate while keeping taste and quality at its core. Castle MacLellan In 1997, Kavli UK welcomed Castle MacLellan, a premium pâté producer based in Kirkcudbright, South West Scotland. The business has maintained its authentic identity and strong connection to Scottish-sourced ingredients — a key reason behind its continued success and its reputation for crafting exceptional pâtés. A Business With Purpose Kavli UK isn’t just a food manufacturer — we’re part of something bigger. The wider Kavli Group, headquartered in Norway, is fully owned by the Kavli Trust, a charitable foundation.
