Since its founding in 1962, Franz Karger's initial one-man business has continuously developed into a modern industrial company for hot-dip galvanizing and the production of special grating. Active at four locations in Southern Germany, the family company, managed by Wolfgang and Uli Karger in the second generation with its headquarters in Illertissen, currently employs around 220 people, with an annual turnover of 25 million euros. The range of services in the field of hot-dip galvanizing extends from classic locksmith items such as fences, stairs or platform systems to series parts for the automotive, scaffolding or system construction sectors, as well as large steel and facade constructions and parking systems. A special feature of Karger is the in-house centrifugal galvanizing plant for small parts, which enables high capacity as a separate production line. The self-produced grating also underlines the diversity and quality of the family business – from walk-on special grating to truck-trafficable special constructions, everything is manufactured here individually according to customer requirements. The punctual transport of all goods to and from the customer is ensured by the company's own fleet of over 20 trucks.
