About Jordbærpikene

Jordbærpikene started in 2003 with the idea of creating a unique cafe concept with food and cakes made from scratch, using fresh seasonal ingredients. Behind the idea was pastry chef, TV chef and food writer, Lars Lian. With ten years of experience from the national culinary team and as general manager of several patisseries, he saw the opportunities and potential in a completely new type of eatery. Jordbærpikene was intended to bring the street cafe into the shopping mall, fill the gap between bakeries and burger joints, and give guests an experience beyond the ordinary. The first Jordbærpikene opened at the Byhaven shopping center in Trondheim. The concept quickly became a success, and today Jordbærpikene is present at over 40 shopping centers across the country. All cafes are run by skilled cafe owners who focus on guests, food quality, and good service. In 2018, we became part of the Bitastad AS group, which acquires and develops food concepts with great market potential. In addition to Jordbærpikene, Bitastad owns the food concepts Big Bite, Sabrura, SOT bar & burger, and the distributor Matmegleren.
