About JAMHI Health and Wellness

Founded in 1985, JAMHI Health & Wellness is a nonprofit, community-based health center serving Juneau, Alaska and the surrounding region. Originally established to provide behavioral health services, JAMHI has grown into a fully integrated provider offering primary care, behavioral health, substance use treatment, supported housing, and wellness programs. Our mission is helping people live their own best lives by supporting the whole person — mind and body — through compassionate, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care. Today, JAMHI operates multiple service sites in Juneau, employing a multidisciplinary team of medical providers, clinicians, care coordinators, and community health workers. In addition to healthcare, JAMHI is deeply involved in community wellness and advocacy. We partner with local agencies, tribal organizations, and statewide networks to expand access to care, address health disparities, and strengthen the social supports that help Alaskans thrive.
