The history of Jamef is the result of a permanent commitment to customer satisfaction and innovation, ensuring that every operation is increasingly agile and safe. To achieve this, it is based on the tradition of those who have known the market for over four decades. The company's success story began in 1963, when José Alves Martins and his sons founded Transportadora Divinópolis, with a single truck, on which they transported coffee between Belo Horizonte and Divinópolis. With the new name Jamef, the union of the initials of José Alves Martins and Sons, the transport company began its expansion and in 1975 opened its first branch in São Paulo and, shortly thereafter, in Rio de Janeiro. The company decided to specialize in urgent orders and innovated by implementing an exclusive department for personalized customer service. In 1988, the standardization of the entire fleet, which already numbered more than one hundred trucks, began. Five years later, it also started working with air transport. Thinking again about the corporate image, Jamef underwent a revitalization process that included updates to its logo, changing the color from yellow to white, and began investing in security, with all its cargo monitored by satellite, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The company's structure grew even further, and in 2007, the headquarters gained a new own property in Contagem, Minas Gerais. Today, with professionalized management and 46 years of success, Jamef has a fleet exceeding 700 vehicles, twelve branches, a distribution center, more than 2,500 employees, and continuous plans for business expansion.
