Järfälla in northwestern Stockholm is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Sweden. All our city districts, for example Barkarbystaden, are growing and housing is being built for an additional 30-40,000 people. At the same time, we are planning for at least 10,000 new jobs, higher education, and attractive destinations. Due to population development, the municipality is also growing as an employer. Together with factors such as urbanization, digitalization, and globalization, this places new demands on our operations, which continue to evolve. Järfälla municipality currently has approximately 4,100 employees in 100 different professions.
