Jämtkraft is an energy group with its home in Jämtland but with a market far larger than that. The company is owned by the municipalities of Åre, Krokom, and Östersund. This shapes the company in such a way that it should not only be profitable but also contribute to the common good. For us, the common good means that we try to think long-term and sustainably, for many. It is about sustainable and climate-smart living but also about sustainable and long-term business. We are to be a driving force for the community in which we operate and contribute to a good life for all its inhabitants. But we think bigger than that. Jämtkraft is to deliver energy that makes life better. For us, this means renewable energy and smart energy solutions that build a sustainable society. We draw our primary strength from sun, wind, water, and forests. In Jämtland, there are plenty of rich forests, fresh winds, and flowing water. And the sun shines here too at our latitudes. However, the most important force is our own energy. The energy that comes from within you and from within us.
